We are 4 hours into the assault. Wrecks litter the stargate as we move into 49- to attack the Goons in a flanking manoeuvre that is aimed to support IT Alliance’s expansion into Delve. By attacking Querious we can divert forces needed elsewhere. My Sabre launches into the fight as we get news that Providence has made an unexpected move. We are no longer just supporting IT Alliance but are now fighting a two front war where we are on the offencive in one system and now have to race back and defend our backyard. Can we fall back from 49- and count off Goons not to follow or is it better to push the attack and see what develops in regards to the Providence attack and see if we can keep the fight up on two fronts ?

Rumors run wild through the ranks. What kind of numbers do Providence actually hold ? What are the capabilities of their commanders and their pilots ? The running estimate is that providence holds almost 10.000 pilots. We are well aware that they have nowhere near that number to run an offensive campaign where a defencive might spur them into a frenzy where we would be facing them all. But if they can even muster half or one third of that number we could very well be facing a real threat.

Ushra’Khan can muster almost 1300 combat ready pilots and are sworn to this fight with a blood oath commitment. For one thing we fight to free Providence but to see CVA expand over those borders is an unacceptable development. We will be joined by AAA, Coven and SYS K in the fight and that will almost even the numbers.

The assault seems to be led by LFA who is quick to proclaim victory after a few days where there has been an internal debate as how to meet this threat. LFA goes as far as offend people that contradict their point of view in the public channels soon turning what should have been information into insults aimed at entities they have never heard of and who cares little for their cause.

For two days we have kept pressure on 49- and the goons but have failed our objective of securing the system itself.

Back and forth, back and forth. No time to rest. Once a battle is over in one system the attention is turned to the other front. We have managed to hold the onslaught off and are now preparing to push them back while maintaining a minimum presence in 49-.

I arrive in my trusty Megathron that has held together for quite some battles by now. The sight that meet me in SV5 makes my heart swell with pride as the Ushra’Khan capital fleet arrive and join the AAA fleet.

We are late but not too late, quickly communication is established and our fleets hook up. Numbers rise as SYS K and Coven proclaim that they too will be joining the fight. The numbers are even in what will be the decisive battle for SV5.

We move in and position our fleets around the IHUB and await to be assaulted by the Provi fleet when the reinforcement timer runs out.

Conlin opens the party with the first antimatter rounds and the game is on.

Great is the disappointment when the enemy arrives on the fleet. A small contingent of Battleships supported by the largest fleet of Battlecruisers I have ever seen.

However battle crusiers have no place in a ranged fight of these proportions.

As the battles rages on for supremacy in the systems it become apparent that someone somewhere has made a miscalculation

http://www.a-kills.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=348314

Again and again over the days we come across these Battlecruiser fleets that full of confidence throw themselves into the fight only to die miserably.

http://www.a-kills.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=347509

http://www.a-kills.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=347471

Even when we are heavily outnumbered the Battlecrusier gangs are no match for a proper Battleship fleet.

Where is CVA ?

Where is the enemy we have fought before and respected ?

Is this the best they can offer ?

When we went alone into Providence in our Battleships, a fleet counting no more than 50 ships there were easily 200 Battleships facing us.

Where are they now ?

There seems no end to the amount of Battlecruisers that Providence can throw at us.

Fire ! Reload ! Fire ! Reload…

The resonance of the 425 guns become a monotone sound. It sounds hollow as yet one more Harbinger takes a direct hit and explodes in a fire storm. There is no glory here, its clean and methodical slaughter of the outgunned Providence Fleet. There is no deliverance, there is no god and tomorrow we aim for D-G the main system of Paxton Federation…

The last week has seen fierece battle in and around the system of 49-U6U with BoB and AAA throwing their forces at the Swarm. BoB has taken on the name of KenZoku but I have not gotten used to it yet so I will call them by the name ive fought for years.

The idea of AAA and BoB seems to be to push into Querious and take 49-U6U which is a vital system for further staging into Delve and Querious itself. If 49-U6U is won the first crusial step in another long campaign has begun. How Providence will react is yet to be seen. If the Providence dwellers for whatever reasons throw their forces into the fray AAA will have to divert forces to repell the incursions and thereby weaken the effort at the Querious and Delve front.

Let the games begin…

The Megathron ejected cleanly of Juturnas hull and was shortly after pushed into space by the hangar crew.

I was alone as the Ushra Khan forces already were in action at the battleground. Being alone in a battleship fitted for long range combat with no tank buffer to speak off and no repairing capabilities makes space a scary place.

I ran a quick diagnostics and she responded well. The entire ship was vibrating with anticipation. From the quatermasters to the 425mm gunners to the maintaniance crew I could feel the tension. We were off to battle.

She slowly aligned for the nearest jumpbridge and set out to cover the jouney in small quick moon hops.

As I drew nearer I became aware that I was no longer alone. Slowly but surely and small gang had assembled with the common aim of reaching the battleground. Warriors saluted warriors without a single word uttered. The gang fell into the training and started to make jumps in unison and the smaller ships waiting for the larger to be aligned. Fleet mechanics cannot be denied once learned. It feels as natural as breathing.

Shortly after all my so called professionalism vanised and had I not been in a POD I would have laughed in a roar of tears.

AAA had in a system eracted a tower which shield reflected the sun. Not the usual bluish shield but screaming pink. PINK ?

I want a pink force field ever so badly if I ever get to own a POS. The smile in my mind slowly faded and then lit up again.

Ombey would never believe me unless I showed him so I turned the ship around and positioned it.

One postcard ready to go to the beach. I had a faint hope the humor of it might draw some reaction. I had not heard from Ombey since his implantes interacted with the corporate database. I knew from Mynxee and Roc that Ombey was at some obscure beach having long drink and relaxing. I send the postcard to “Bob” hoping he knew where Ombey was and could relay the message.

If not for the POD I would have had the most silly smile on my face as I jumped out of the system. A PINK forcefield ? Well new things are to be seen every day in the wolrd of EvE.

A few jumps later I arrived in the system of 4-07MU. The final system before the actual contested system of 49-U6U.

The war drums roared and pulsated as I arrived at the fleet gaterhing point and I had only just hooked up with the fleet before a fleet intel channel lit up about a gang of enemies assembling at the 49-U6U gate. I was not hooked up into the main fleet communication loop yet but saw the fleet align for the gate. What the hell I thought to myself, ill see what happens and ride it on routine.

The megathron aligned with the rest of the fleet as I guessed we were responding to the call on the intel channel. All of a sudden the space set in motion as the fleet commander did a fleet warp. I was caught off guard and almost thought to myself that it could be a very bad idea to follow a fleet in the blind like this. We landed some 50 km off the gate due to a bubble. My first reaction was to align back toward the POS but quickly aligned for the gate as I saw the other battle ships pass me in the oppersite direction.

My intel channels were dead quiet and no targets were being called so I had to go with what I would have done as an FC charging at the enemy in a BS gang confroned with a HAC heavy enemy.

The overview flickered as I switch to “sort by range” and at the same time the gunners reported the Large Anti Matter slugs were ready for delivery of pain.

I targeted the 5 nearest enemies and held an eyes out for calls for armor in the fleet broardcast channel.

I saw an enemy Zealot take just the sligest of shield damage and concluded he must have been called and the smaller ships in our fleet had nipped his shield.

“Left side, let fly”

The ships was gently rocking from side to side as the inertia stablizers corrected the ships bearing.

The zealot took the broardside right in the hull and disintegrated in one blink. The enemy went fast and low for the nearest possible warp out. I did notice a crow being awfully slow as if his ship was not responding well.

“3 slugs only guys” I told the gunners and the shells ejected from the guns, the slugs easily the size of an average planetary viechle. 2 missed but one went through what was left of the poor crow and registrered as a hit.

I was pleased with the performance and I could feel the crew beam with pride. This was the first combat for some of them while others had been with me for quite some time. I saw some of the battleships disapearing and realised we were already at the gate. Time works differently when in combat. It either stops or run at double speed.

Sound bursted into my head as my meantal hearing was assaulted by the voice of the fleet commander. Finally my voice communication module had hooked up with the fleet. I caught the last of a jump order and activated the gate.

Dark blue hit me as the system of 49-U6U emerged. So this is where we fight and where we shall prevail ?

It quickly became obvious that the fleet I was in and thought to be the main fleet, after all it counted almost 80 battleships, was merely a skirmish fleet intended to keep the enemy entertained and under fire while the main fleet of 200 Battleships and countless Capital ships took care of the towers.

Our small contingent was ordered to a nearby POS to await further orders. I noticed a dreadnought nearby. I had not seen one of those in action for ages.

In the background above the sun I saw a pair of Tempest ships carrying the markings Minmatar rebellion ships.

Ushra’Khan were here to fight and will claim the scalps of many enemies before this is over.

I powered down the Megathron some 40 minutes later as all hostile POSs were killed off or reinforced and new friendly ones placed in their former spot.

The hull of Juturna vibrated softly as she lifted off from her docking clamps. From a well positioned camera drone I could see the gallentean girl. She was standing behind a large blast window overlooking the hangar.
The gallentean girl and I enjoyed each others company but had a strictly business relationship.

We go back for some years where we met on a trade trip I made to Jita. I had some True Sansha Modules I needed to sell and she had the buyers.

I had spent almost two weeks in empire space and unregulated lawless space after Ombey had retired from his POD career. I had been wandering the station where his goodbye party had been held with Mynxee and Roc.
I had not felt like fighting after Ombey left.

SSI had succumbed under the pressure and Severance had taken over the former SSI space. Some SSI corps have now merged into CVA to seek the protection they longed for. As events unfolded I came across a KIA pilot McKinlay that informed me about the demise of the once great enemy Band of Brothers.
Internal betrayal had accomplished what the combined forces of EvE had not succeeded in. Like so many other long fights the war is not won by the winner but lost by the looser.

The Goons moved quickly and exploited the breach in BoB security and eventualy took all of Delve and Period basis.
Ofcource KIA was at the frontline as always when goons needed an additional 100 pilots.
Its a good deal KIA has going and for some reason the Goons act very honorably when it comes to KIA. Nothing like the public image they have.

Against ALL Authorities joined side early with BoB and at the moment it looks like the whole of EvE is gonna kick their door in. U’K has mobilized to help -A- and orders have gone out to form up in fleet battleships. This caused some commotion as most pilots had almost forgotten how a fleet battleship was properly fitted.
I had smiled when I went to the hangar of Juturna and found the Megathron still fitted for this kind of work.

Ohh, Ombey where will my wing-man be in his tempest when we dodge the slugs and charge in on the enemy.
The kind of work we are expertly trained to perform almost in our sleep and sometimes has been performed as such after a 5 hour long shift.

I had stopped and looked at the Megathron Battleship and for unknown reasons shut the hangar doors.
I had not feelt like battle. Can an edge be worn down that has been sharpened for years ?
The knife no longer willing to plunge in the blood of the enemies? The arm to tired to lift the shield?

I heard the call to arms of the U’K pilots but walked off and left Juturna behind with the Megathron in her belly, not to be seen for another two weeks.

Then last night I got a reading from Ombeys implant transpondent unit.
It connected cleanly with the corporate database and updated his pilot status.

-Amarr Elite Cruiser Capable-

I was shocked to say the least.
That meant that Ombey was still able to interface with POD technology and despite claiming never to use his neural implants again, he still had them in full function… The implications…

It breathed to the ember of the war drums that beat in every POD pilots hearth. I walked to my hangar and beheld the large carrier bulk of Juturna.

The breath became a wind and a small fire erupted. Small and fragile. The kind of fire you shield with your hand.

A slow dozy yellow flame.

War drums vibrate with their slow hymn in a low resonance as Juturna lifts off and undock for the first time in two weeks…

KIA has returned home from Stain and have been back in TDE for almost two weeks now. Personally I have taken a trip to Jita to look up on the Gallentean girl.

Xenobytes performed excellent in Stain and more often than not we found that they were able to take down equal size fleets. They had a firm grip on the system 4GQ-XQ but we made frequent incursions. However taking a system that is owned by Sanshas Nation is very hard and almost always become a matter of willpower. When I was based out of T-8 in FM-C we had two incidents where we simply just stayed in system for a period of two months before the besigeres gave up. They could move in and live but never make it their home as long as we sat in the stations and hunted their ratters and industrials whenever they were low on numbers.

I lost a Sabre and a Manticore in the engagements and consider it a very small price to pay for crossing arms with some of the best pilots in EvE. The Sabre was lost when I tried to cover the back of the fleet as we retreated from 4GQ-XQ as the Xenobytes brought out capitalships. The manticore was lost in a solo accident mostly due to my lack of experience with Stealth Bombers. But Im getting better at using them.

I salute Xenobytes for their capabilities and take home a lesson or two again.

For now I’ll hang out in Jita with the girl and see what time brings.

So here I am, back where it all began. Stain has been and will always be my nemesis. Whatever I do, like try to join an alliance in the far north, I end up in Period Basis next to Stain. Join a mercenary outfit, and we deploy to Stain. Figures…

As if that is not enough we are fighting in no less than three regions. Stain, Feythabolis and Esoteria. The two of them are completely new to me despite having lived so close to them for over a year.

Of note are the system 4GQ-XQ in Stain, in which Stain Empire (SE) lives. Stain Empire, and specifically Xenobytes, were the first ever true combat pilots I ever crossed. Crossed is a fine word for when they crippled 3 of my ravens in less than 2 weeks. On the other hand I learned from them and have never lost another Raven to roaming gangs.

Another system of note is C9N-CC in Esoteria, a system which Stain Empire was recently evicted from. The system has a legacy in that it still holds the wreck of the first Titan to go down. The system has some of the most vivid colors Ive ever seen. A deep blue and grey star field, a piercing red sun and some spectacular light blue and white nebulae.

As the last system of note is AZN-D2 in Feythabolis. A goon controlled system that was the staging point for the attack on C9N-CC. Also the landing zone of the KIA dropships.

On sunday afternoon we moved out from TDE in a large gang consisting mainly of Heavy Assault Ships. I was in my trusty Sabre.

We moved casually along with scouts out. Shortly after having left Geminate region we encountered a Rapier which we ignored as we were eager to get to the destination. It became aparrent that he was following us and a camp was set up at the in-gate in UD-AOK. The pilot magichka jumped into my bubble and was promtly disposed of.

Closing in on C9N-CC, which was our original destination, we were informed that a large fleet fight was taking place and it was not the place to be in our nifty HACs. As a result AZN-D2 was chosen as new destination and headquarter of KIA for the duration of our stay.

Along the way we passed through some spectacular systems of untold beaty and mystery. We even passed some strange looking vessels. We did not bother them and they left us alone as well.

As we came closer to our destination more and more combat vessels appeared. Scared, victorious and proud they roamed and patrolled. There was no doubt we were entering a warzone where everyone was hunter and prey. Goons and Tau Ceti Federation (TCF) gangs and fleets became more and more frequent. We had some banter in the local comms channel, but most of  the TCF spoke a strange dialect, which rumor has it, has its roots in the original Gallente language. They tend to put in a lot of ‘z’s in their pronunciation of words often replacing ‘th’…

After docking up in AZN-D2 and getting settled we took the ships out for a spin and went by C9N-CC.

I was happy to get the chance to see the behemoth of “STEVE” the Avatar Titan wreck. I warped well past it to get a good approach. Smoldering fires can still be observed which must be remains of some engineparts still turning being held in motion by repair drones and nano robots that have not registered the demise of the ship.

We will soon move out as we get comfortable with our new surroundings.

*CLANCK* The sound vibrates through the hull of my battleship as I slowly drift through the debris of enemy ships. I can sense the space, the pieces of metal, the silent cries of the stiff bodies floating by.

Victory is at hand. I spin my Megathron into a victory turn before heading for TDE, refueling, resocking and resupplying. Ready to move out again.

I am not alone in the process of ships that point the nose towards our new home. My comrades in arms fly beside me. We are not torn by race like the most of EvE but united in our purpose, in our belifs, in our destiny. The victorious, scared and majectic ships slowly make their way out of the remenants of what was former hostile space.

I salute my fellow pilots who has endured, fought and won.

I turn my megathron towards the new horizons and embrace the change that is to come.

Change is enevitable, but we shall adapt and overcome whatever the future holds as long as we stand beside eachother. This new change is a welcome one however. Geminate my home.

For some time KIA has been patrolling the spacelanes in and around K25. Roadkill have been determined to make a stand in that system. Its a broken alliance but some few pilots keep the fight going. Either blind to the fact that they have lost or simply as a gesture of defiance. I like defiance.

I have before mentioned the pilot Gemstone505 from the Foundation corporation. He has led some surprising raids on our battleship fleet with his Stealth Bombers. Its a source of inspiration to behold the capsulering by this pilot.

K25 has been under siege for most of the week and this weekend the final pieces of resistance has faltered to being sporadic and uncoordinated. Unferth Devestator has been on the field several times with his Titan but it’s actual use has been minimal. A frantic hunt went on for the titan and at one point our Dictors warped in 1-2 seconds to late to catch it.

For the most part the battle of K25 has been purely won by the Battleships of Goons, DAI and KIA. The fighting has been heavy with some very well set up POS towers consisting of Energy neutralizing batteries, lazer, auto cannon batteries and warp disruptors.

The following events is taking place over multiple days but has been shortened down.

I was running a bit late the first day making my way slowly from Q-T with a single Crow for scouting.

While I was making best speed from Q-T the main fleet assembled in TDE with a large contingent of DAI moving up the pipe which it was my plan to hook up with around VSJ.

Without any incident I hooked up with DAI and moved with them to LU- where we assembled on the gate ready to jump in when the KIA fleet did.

KIA relies heavily on their remote repping battleships but the Roadkill towers could drain such a fleet in a very short time. So we had brought additional support in in shape of some logistic ships. The logistics were lost in due course of the battle but K25 was secured and all towers reinforced by the awaiting capital fleet. Myself played only a minor role in helping to slug some large antimatter charges into the POSs.

Friday the O2O system was of primary attention to KIA. Once again we had logistic ships and all ships were loaded up for a fierce fight like the ones we had faced in K25.

Also present for some odd reason was a Typhoon. I have not seen such a ship at the front line for quite some time. Actually I have not seen them really in action ever since it was proved that loading them with overdrives, nano fibers and inertia stabilizers was a hazardous plan. But here it was back again to wreck havoc.

The POS in question held some large bubbles and should have been a deathtrap but the setup of the POS could not have been more horrible. The fire from it was sporadic, mostly unguided and hopelessly out of the damage dealing league.

We set to work straight away with a battleship gang. It might not be a pretty blob of ships but it is damn effective.

We wrapped up by shooting a few guns for the hell of it while the dreads was called in for the heavy duty work.

I do hope next week will bring more excitement.

I awoke to the slow buzzing sound of a general alert. A friendly was being chased through systems coming from L-TOFR and heading in the direction of TDE. Distress signal went out as the pursuers slowly gained on his Deimos heavy assault-ship.

Running along the corridors of the TDE station I could feel the uneasiness of the station dwellers as their previous owners had abandoned them and they faced an uncertain future at the hands of an unknown alliance. Only the stories of atrocities of the battlefield was what impression they had of us, told by their fleeing masters.

They had been witness to the fast annihilation of their security that was their death-star moon POS’s in the system of TDE. They had seen the steady flow of damaged Roadkill ships docking up for quick repairs before joining the ranks on the field again. Ever noticing that fewer and fewer returning ships that did not make it back for repairs. They had seen the often futile escape attempts by industrial ships loaded with whatever possessions their pilots could cram in the cargo hold. Seen the bubbles and wrecks pile up in front of the undocking port. Finlay they had witnessed the full power of a titan attack on their station.

They were scared and as I ran to the docking bay I noticed their eyes being cast down but could feel their eyes on my back as soon as I had passed. They would get used to us eventually. Change is a fact and mankind is one of the best to adapt to a new situation.

My Deimos was ready when I arrived at the docking bay and I quickly boarded. As soon as my neocom hooked up with the ships interfacing I undocked while calling for additional backup and hooking up new fleet members.

We met up on the 5F gate in TDE and when we had 6-7 ships we burned for 6YC with hostiles reported in 6L78. A Merlin frigate escaped us barley as we jumped into O2O.

We met the enemy in open battle in 6L78-1 where we jumped in as they landed on the outbound gate and a Vexor had to bite the dust as I called him primary and called for points on whoever of the hostiles that we could catch. The rest of the enemy gang choose that discretion was the better part of valor and ran hard and fast. They cant be blamed as their prey all of a sudden had become a wolf and one with a pack. We escorted our alliance member home again missing the same Merlin frigate again. There was a general consent that it was stabbed (filled with Warp Core Stabilizers).

Upon returning to base the gang split up. Some went hunting for Gurista criminals while others oversaw the preparations of their battleships for to nights OP. Together with Ombre and Tarantino I took up position in fron of the station and waited for the time to pass.

I was watching the hypnotising trails of Ombre’s crow as he released bursts from his micro warp drive when all of a sudden a hostile undocked from the station. A hostile coming from our very station ? Ofcourse there are always stragglers who are slow and hide among the general Station dwellers but surely they should all have left by now.

Ombre brought his crow around and aligned for the hostile Throax, a distant cousin of my own Deimos. Tarantino was in hot pursuit and I aligned to ram his ship in order to deny him the opportunity to redock and get away in the myriad of hangars.

Bouncing hard as our ships made contact my sensors in the nose of my ship took serious damage against his armored side tearing off one of his engines. His ship slowed down a satisfying distance from the docking entrance.

The gunz of my ship was undamaged and the crew let loose the advanced blaster charges and drones were released. Again and again the shells landed hard on his armor, the high tech drones raining plasma on his ship. Slowly but surely his armor faltered but I was surprised that it lasted that long.

The destruction record showed a setup Ive not seen before. A weird mix of blaster, high tech armor tanking, rigged, cynogenerator ship. An abnormality ! Blessed be my blasters for ridding space of such a foul beast.

Not satisfied with the destruction of the ship I started targeting the POD that had emerged from the wreck. The clone sure was a malfunctioning one and better to rid the universe of that as well. Who knows what might have happened and where it paths would have led it. There are rumors of experiments that have given drones self-awareness by crazy scientists. We must be ever vigilant.

A message ran in from the leadership that we would be gathering our forces and heading out at 18:30. Since most of us were already in the fleet I started to organize the fleet into sections. 2 BS squads, 1 support, 1 dread and a carrier.

Slowly I realised that the BS fleet was adhering my voice. A strange feeling. I had commanded small squads before in Stain and ran one interceptor operation when we were based out of Period Basis, but never a full battleship fleet.

The command of the dreads and carriers were taken by Eddz himself. Leadership had for some time called for others to step up every now and then. I would never presume to have the strategic and tactic understanding of Tjakka, but decided to give it a go anyway.

(The KIA Alliance cards are (c) Snowcrow.)

Command of a fleet is never taken ! It is only granted by the members in the fleet as long as you perform well and give sound commands. The Capsulers of KIA was allowing me to lead them and for that I was grateful.

The battleship fleet met up on the 5F gate in TDE, when I counted 14 Battleships headed out. Tarantino ran scout duty together with Ombre and they behaved and executed orders timely and clearly provided the intel that KIA’s scouts are famous of. I admit that I may have been over cautious, but I was not about to loose a BS fleet so our progress may have taken longer than was absolutely necessary.

The route to Q-T was scouted and as we jumped in we were greeted by a small Goon camp on the L-TOFR gate in Q-T. I told the fleet to align for the station and called up command. Orders were to help the Goon battleship detachment take down a POS at planet 8 orbiting moon 5. We received a warp in point and I ordered the fleet to warp individually as Eddz had command of the fleet and therefore I was unable to initiate gang warp.

En route to the POS I gave final instructions, remember to call for remote repairing, pay attention to the fleet broadcasts and load up short-range ammo, who is warp out point in case of emergency warp out, remember to passive align towards a planet that was called as general warp out. It may sound absurd but to repeat the command I had heard a thousand times made me feel an inner warmth. At 18:45 we arrived at the POS which was almost half into its shield.

To our pleasant surprise it was not armed at all and contained only basic mining modules, moon harvesting array and a few Silo’s. The goons had been at it for quite some time and welcomed the additional firepower. It took all of 30 minutes of our combined firepower to cripple the tower into reinforced mode. Felicia Stone claimed to had been targeted by the moon harvesting array and gotten a nice tan.

The tower for some odd reason held no Strontium and would exit reinforced mode within 1 hour.

I ordered the fleet to warp out and head to the station to support a small tactical unit that held any enemies at bay and firmly docked inside their station.

I called up fleet command again and was ordered to take the BS squad to help the dreads and main capital fleet take down a larger tower.

I came out of warp next to Kresh’s looming Moros Dreadnought and opened fire on the tower along with the rest of the fleet. I can only imagine what it must feel like to be in command of the Moros Dreadnought. It has been a personal goal for a long time but I have been caught between the Moros and the Thanatos which I need for logistic purposes.

As the tower was reinforced we turned around to rejoin the small squad at the station and I gave all a small break for pilots to check the ships, see to the crews got fed and so on. In KIA terms called a BIO break.

We had Snowscrow in the fleet and as such the ever watchful eyes of the Capsuleer Labor Union (CLU). CLU had almost shut down an entire operation back when we were securing Period Basis. We had been on OP for 4 long hours and not given a single break. Under such immense pressure the pilots went on strike until the situation was resolved. The BIO break was the result and an agreement signed that if an operation takes longer than 4 hours every member is allowed a 10 minute break of hostilities at a safe-spot every 4 hours.

(The KIA Alliance cards are (c) Snowcrow.)

The staion was devoid of enemy activity and really we were just passing time for the P8-M5 tower to come out of reinforced mode. After 20 minutes I ordered the fleet to warp to the pos and prepare. At 20:13 the POS came out of reinforced mode and we once again opened fire.

After 10 minutes two hostiles appeared on the overview and was quickly identified as Stealth bombers. These small ship can contain a single munition charge that can be quite damaging to battleship fleets.

They went for the Goons located 40 km away from us and when they emerged from the POS shield was both promptly disposed of. After a while a new stealth bomber showed up on the overview and headed in the general direction of the KIA fleet before cloaking up. I called that all ships aligned for the station at full speed but this brought us out of range too fast. A new plan was formed and we aligned between two different asteroid belts going at 100 m/s and the range varying from 30 km to 50 km to the POS. This way our battleship fleet would be able to warp out fast if additional bombers should show up. I suspected the single bomber might be the warp in for more and as better to be safe than sorry I had the pilots burn fuel running back and forth between points while keeping fire on the POS.

At some point a single Suicide Megathron pilot warped in and was killed but managed to cause a single loss. I salute Gemstone505 for taking initiative and not surrendering, but screaming defiance to the last breath.

We were after some time joined by dreads and I called it a day. I gave command of the battleships to Mikhalio who is a seasoned pilot and to be just a much better fleet commander than I am.

I hope I will get the chance to lead a fleet again however small the job. For now I’m letting my crew pop some Quafe and turning on the holoreels.

Live from the front line. The SMASH station in the sytem of TDE is about to fall.

Assembling at 12:10 and initiating attack at 12:20. Local coms are devoid of enemies.

We only have a few dreads on the field but no more is needed.

12:50 Station is confirmed KIA after DD from Omega Theory.

The push forward has payed off. The initial stage of securing the systems of BWF, IOO and BND was achived very fast and mainly done by the Goon Fleet, It was shortly followed by the assault on P-E9, L-TOFR, 4D9 and Q-TBHW which is currently being secured. DAI has turned up as well and we greet our comrades in arms.

We have had quite a few roamings, some more event full than others. Basicly we are hunting a prey that just want get out of dodge town. Eddz have had command over some of the roaming gangs and its always good to be yelled at. As wing men I had Krisz2 and Clevinger who also happened to fly the Deimos class assault ship.

Ultra Violence (CEO of DAC) was in his malediction and was supported by Cyberchick in her Zealot and last but not the least we had a Sir Hood in his taranis.

We were largely ineffective in catching any prey but that was more due to lack of aforementioned prey. Smashkill and some other corps they have harbored in their midst are moving out and going about it as carefull as possible. Really can’t blame them.

I personally was still hooked up on the Gallentean girl. They sure eat up a lot of time these females. Frequent trips to Jita prevented much action in the small roaming gangs.

While sleeping in my quarters my neocom buzzer went off. The slow pulsing red ligt on the remote PDA told me I had an incomming transmission waiting. Only way to read the message was to go down to the ship hangar and hook up via POD interface so the communication would be delivered securely.

I was not happy to leave my quarters but a secure line message was not to be ignored.

Hooking up and running diagnostics in my Sabre a map unfolded before my inner view. I recoqnized it at once as the Geminate region. A bit put off by calling me out like that for a Geminate operation I sourly read through the message from Eddz.

The first thing that sprung to my eye was the call for Dreads. The heavy Dreadnought class has never been something KIA specialized in. But here it was as the called for main stay of the fleet. I was sure we were to help the Goons take out remaining towers in some system as rumor would have it that there is a titan cooking in one of them.

My eyes almost poped out when the target and objective of the operation became apparent. To secure a new 0.0 home for KIA and DAI. I flipped quickly back to the map again to confirm the new constelation that we were to call ours.

We were to set off friday and attack the system of TDE. It was to be a KIA operation with light Goon support.

Once again the KIA titan was to spearhead the operation and the support battleships would be bridged in. Expected resistance would be small to none.

Always feels like a rush when being bridged in and you can almost cut through the anticipation of the fleet.

The system of TDE has a sickning greenish color that the sun projects without mercy. In time I shall learn to like it but landing in such a foul system almost makes one vomit. The dreads went to work without much of incidents.

We are now Geminate-Day +2 into the operation and Smash are still evacing as much as they can. Large bubbles are deployed on the gates and while the Dreads continue to do their part we sit in our battleships which are now reduced to support.

Ive run support gate duty most of the moring along side a Tempest class ship flow by Rudina of DAC and on the gate itself we had Ombre in his crow interceptor.

We put slugs of large ammunition into whatever comes by and have extra ships standing by in the event that we get an actual fight. The main effort is put into reinforcing towers and taking those down that come out of reinforcement. Smash dont even use the specialized gunners for their towers.

The Smash evacuation is no longer organized as small groups of individual pilots try to get their meagre belongings out. Every now and then they manage to form up a convoy and get a few ships out. But at best they are stuck in O2O 2 jumps away as the space lanes are constanly patrolled all the way to BWF.

The day is not over yet and more will loose their belongings as they strugle to get out.
