Bussy days, war here and war there. Been having some real cloak troubles lately and lost two stealth bombers due to decloaking though I was nowhere near an object that would interfere with my electronic systems. Very very annoying. I have send the matter to the manufacturer and are awaiting their response. Likely the logs will show nothing and their product to be in perfect working order.

Ushra’Khan have had a quick detour into Immensea region but all of a sudden we had to pull out. Im not sure what that all was about but a strong CVA fleet showed up after we had left and started shooting the station. Again Im not sure what that was about either.

The day was fast fading and the last light glittered on my Sabre when a planet choose to cast its shadow on the Y-M gate in D61A. Scanners showed a new ship in system and out of boredom I launched a bubble, got out of it and started hitting the active scanner to see what was coming in. Whatever it was it would be landing in my bubble some 60 km behind the Y-M gate. I was confident that my sabre with its fast reaction time could get out of harms way if anything too big came my way.

*PLING* – A Mackinaw showed up on scan. It would land in my bubble in 10 seconds so I declaocked and got ready.

There she was, big slow and vulnerable. I lighted her up and the warpcore deactivated. The shield was ever so slowly peeled off. Wrong ammo type. I made a mental note to pick up some EMP ammo when I got the chance as I slowly orbited the death sentenced ship. Was that an Arazu that just landed on the gate ?
Overheat, finish the job, more gate flash as the cavalry is being called in. Your too late my mind says to no one in particular.
Arazu is lighting me up, but is only coming at me with 1200 km/s and I am already leaving the field at 2500 km/s. Multiple ships show on overview and I initiate warp.

I realign back to the Y-M gate for an off-grid location and clock up as I land.
System scanner is still filling and ships are jumping in and out. Looks like they are making a show of force.

Some 45 min later I decide that it is time to shift around a little. I hook up with Ombey in Y-M and we start looking for targets after ive changed ship into a Jaguar, when we notice a battleship heavy gang appear on the kari gate.

CVA calls in a response force that push the invaders out again. Every gate is camped, bubbled and Ombey and I set down to observe.

Eventually Ombey return to Esa and I get a Stealth Bomber and head out again.

Rumor has it that some corp has forgotten to fuel their POS in DP-JD4. Ratokus on his daily patrol of that section of space had come across this POS by checking the shield status.

Upon landing on the POS he found it to be vacant. He started hitting the unprotected hangars as I made my way towards DP-. A Harbinger was going the same way as I and I could feel his tension as the gate flased every time right after he had jumped, In my stealthbomber I could not hurt him but I held my cloak so he did not actually know what followed him.

Entering the solar system of DP- I see this in the local public system channel.

A pilot (actually a member of the corp we are currently shoplifting) lights up his wit in what must be some sort of challenge or taunt.

Rauot > oh look at me! i’m mining all by my self with my badger in belt 2, I really hope no one with red status comes and jumps me.

Ratokus is not slow to respond…

Ratokus > Oh look at me, I’m in a stealth bomber at your pos, having just blown up your ship maintenance arrays and stolen all your BPO’s, I hope no one can find me :D

We exchange laughs over our own private intercom as we settle in for a wait to see if anything interesting might show up. Ratokus is however restless to get the loot back safe and sound so I escort him back to Esa without incidents.

Back in the bar sharing a beer, Amarr stations dont seem to serve rum, we derived that the moral of tonight must be to fuel the smack less and fuel POS’s more…

  1. Heh heh, can’t beat getting smacked in local, and then replying with a trump card like that. Awesome, <3 Ratokus

  2. Kinda like smacking for a few days and then leaving a carrier AFK at Kari gate in Y-M ?

Or smack and proceed to loose his tech III ?

    Karma baby ! Karma.

  3. In response to your decloaking, I’ve noticed an increase in desync in my position and that off the area im in, it’s especially annoying when you land at a site bounce off something invisible. Then when NPC’s turn up you launch your drones only to find them 50Km away with only a 45Km drone control range, WTF!, not such a problem in highsec but disconcerting none the less. As to the guy in the T3 ship, grats to him for haveing the balls to fly such an expensive ship in null sec, but why on earth smack when youre going to be primed anyway, serves him right :)

  4. Yes I believe you are right on the desync but Ive never had troubles with that before.
    Its very annoying.
Moving towards a gate and then decloak 12 km off it. No corpses or anything wierd.

The Tech III seems to be flavour of the month in Providence. They mostly take them out when there is no risk or use them to bait us.

Currently however we have killed 1 each week since they came out.

seriously tho, this ^^ WTF was he doing in a belt with his badger, rather than hauling fuel to ensure their security was up to scratch?

  6. I am quite sure he was nowhere near a belt as most providence dwellers seem to get off grid faster than you can say “POS UP AND X FOR BLOB” when we are around.

    :)

    However the moral stands :P

  7. Update:
New POS goes off line and is looted for ships.

Notice how frick use one of their own ships to kill the last module…
Also notice that Sylph fit their Rokhs with siege launchers… sigh…

  8. And one more ! No ships or items were liberated though.

This time in the system of WJ-9YO

  9. We got another POS this weekend

Steath bomber was scouting around, found a sylph tower offlining. UK elements from deep provi showed up to provide security. We destroyed several Sylph + the covert hauler trying to scoop the POS. Walked away with a TS large tower and a handful of killmails.
