Having left the wreck of the Thanatos behind me I wondered about the set-up of it from the concord loadout.

No less than Amarr Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane x 3 and a True Sansha Capacitor Power Relay made up it’s basic armor modules along with the damage control and capial armor repair unit. It is however normal go on a spending trip when you deal with your carrier.

Later we killed the Drake and the Brutix, but they were not fitted with these wonderous modules that are so priced when they can be salvaged from the wreck of the opponent.

The next day  I hung around the KW-I6T system to see what SSI would be doing today. They undocked a Maelstrom and a Hyperion and kept very close to the station in case my Wolf would come crashing down on them, gunz blazing and all. I was alone in the system and did some fly by’s that triggered their primal instincts. The Hyperion set his drones on me and I got the attention of 5 buzzing drones. I killed 3 before he called them back.

Out came 5 warrior drones. I did not know a Hyperion could hold that many drones, but being Gallente design I cant hardly say Im surprised. They insta poped under my 200 mm auto cannons and only 1 made it back. After that show the two battleships docked up. I felt quite good that I now knew they would attack me and that would be to my advantage later. Was that a Stealth bomber that also had taken the oppertunity to shoot at me while I was engaged by drones?

3 Neutral Stealthbombers entered the system briefly and left again before I could land on them, as they had parked 40 clicks of the station directly in line from the gates.

Dante Karaal of Sarz’na Khumatari entered the system in his drake and as he landed on the station the two battleships undocked again. He put some distance bewteen him and the enemy and sat there for a while. I told him about the Stealthbomber and we chatted away.

Over the voicecom we could hear distant battle as the Ushra’Khan main fleet made short process of a POS some 7 jumps away. By the sound of it the POS was going down and the fleet was mopping up.

I hailed them and informed we had agressive hostiles that might be caught of guard.

The FC noted it and went about the final arrangements of bringing the fleet home. Well arrived home and in new fast ships the fleet set out once more, this time heading for KW-I6T.

Dante and I had entertained the hostiles for almost an hour and they were growing bolder.

Kelban Kevar even gave some advise in the local system channel on how to fit drakes and claimed that his knowledge came from some obscure Empire program called a fitting tool. I corrected a few mistakes of his and in general SSI was not very happy about it. He challenged us a few times over the local coms channel and taunted us.

It was time for release of all that hostility, we needed a purge. Dante brought his Hurricane around and enganged the Hyperion which promtly spat out new and shiney drones. I circled once till Dante said he had agression and went into a short warp from my position 250 clicks above the station ad landed on the top of the Hyperion. I killed two of his drones as they were tearing into the armor of Dante, engaged the warp scarmbler and from there on it went fast.

The fleet which had made its way up, had been waiting for this moment on the gate leading to the system. They jumped in and in seconds the proud Hyperion battleship looked like an angry hornets nest. Drones and ships spewing slugs and plasma at the ship.

I was quite surprised that he went down as fast as he did. The Hyperion is not a ship I know much about but it does have a reputation for a massive repairing ability or carrying armor on the side of the hysterical.

Little did I know that this beast, piloted by Kelban Kevar, was set up in a way I never imagined possible.

I pulled this out of the concord logs later that night.

The lower module slots were filled to the brim valuable stuff while the mid slots were filled with shield modules, making it what is refered to as a dual tank.

Low slots showed the below modules while the upgrade points was filled with support for the shields.

- True Sansha Large Armor Repairer
- Centii C-Type Magnetic Plating
- Dark Blood Energized Thermic Membrane

I asked if anyone wanted the items and was awarded with the loot by the fleet commander. Unfortunately the Large armor repair did not survive.

However I am begining to see a pattern in the ships they loose on a regular basis. I quickly called up their recent losses to check.

This Vengeance was flown by TrickyChrono also of SSI.

Yes, those modules are 3 x Amarr Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membranes.

And these modules are not uncommonly found on their ships. I am a seasoned pilot, or consider my self as such, but I sure cant afford such expensive toys.

1 of those Amarr Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membranes could pay for my Wolf including modules.

This deimos was flown by Kelban.

Note the Centii C-Type Reactive Plating, but why miss out of an extra turret and what is the shield module doing there ?

I guess Kelban has a thing for shield tanking armor repairing ships.

Finally this was the readout on an Armageddon class Battleships, loaded up with large auto cannons and a Dark Blood Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane.

Im not going to judge anyone but do please note the lack of a yellow halo around the weapons that indicate that they are not of the new tech II version. It seems to me their pilots should spend more time in smaller and less expensive ships and learn the ropes. Some of these pilots are almost fresh out of the State War Accadamy.

All this has confirmed to me that KW-I6T will and must fall !!! We cannot allow slavers to hold such a system as there surely is a gold pot in that system. For now I will let SSI dig up the gold and then we will simply have to redistribute the valuables.

[OOC] I have gotten a few remarks on the gold in my post and to clarify I dont think SSI are buying illegal ISK, I just think they may be overspending on their ships for little actual value. I have suggested they might make a forum and make their older playerbase share experience with the younger ones.

  1. Nice read. Good to keep up with events while I am in the grip of RL :-( Interesting fittings, especially the dual tank 0_o

  2. Very cool stuff you got posted here :)

Being a carebear up in Empire it’s quite interesting to read how low-null sec events unfold.
