Ambulation is the reason of me creating a new char and sending the 5m SP old character to the biomass barrell. Hope it will turn out to be a good addition to the game, although there is a chance that it ruins the combat-focused nature of EVE.

I agree the stripper pole and sexual undertones to need 'toning down', as it is just a game and not a porno movie. Although, it is not overtly sexual, but CCP does need to keep it in check.

As far as taking away from the spaceship aspect... WAR is fun... but EVE is more than a war game. It is becoming a real life simulation. Fighting in ships can get dull, unless your a never ending shooting machine... everyone needs a break from PvP, Mining, Ratting, Missions and Trade.

Walking in Stations has so many levels of game play depth, it is almost hard to describe.

First of all, the graphics and facial expressions will match up with the vocals when discussing Alliance wide politics... in the corp meeting rooms. It will not take away from the fighting in ships at all, IMHO. Instead, it will add a level of intelligence and realism, when planning the next Regional take over and POS bashing. Or planning a mining OP or ICE OP or any operation in EVE.

The mini games will incorporate the EVE economy with Betting of ISK and the opening of Bars and liquidizing ISK this way. It will add to the TRADE and MARKET of EVE of a whole new level.

I agree that CCP needs to becareful of the possible 'glamor shows' of dress up and such... but if you listen closely to the videos demoing the already walking in stations videos you will note that they are already making sure that no one can make a toon that has a big GRIN or a ridiculous avatar display.

No NO... NO WORRIES about any loss of space ship game play loss... why would there be? If, you don't fight for your space... you will loss it... present and future... so you can not say fighting to protect 0.0 space will lesson.

If anything, it will explode EVE popularity, by bringing in WOW and EQ players that are expecting avatars, and then get them into space, else get kicked from the Alliance to protect the stations, pos, jump brigdes and sovreignty of space.

No doubt about that it looks good and I sure will explore it, but I still think it will draw a lot of focus away from is for me what EvE is and has been about.

Not entirely true as EvE is as much about interaction as anything else, but this will / can become the main focus.

That way it is no longer a game but a social secondlife clone.

All I am say is that CCP must step carefully.

If this is what it's going to be like, then I quite approve.

The quarters look far better than the pigeon-hole I'm sleeping in at present and the bar looks excellent. It will give me somewhere other than the repair levels to go when I'm not in-pod.

I'm less enamoured of the fashions -- too shiny and plastic :: hopefully someone will do proper ship-suits, and some party gear for dressing up, to impress my agents.
